Colorfuel joined the color strategist at Valspar to develop a new system of single-chip colors for Ace Hardware. New colors were created that align with varying colorant and base requirements, coordinating with color lab on formulations, maintaining quality of color accuracy with printers and collaborating with display manufacturers to best showcase the end product. A core palette of colors anchors the selection with boutique style palettes in pull-out drawers to facilitate ease of selection for the consumer who wants a designer curated offering.

Colorfuel teamed with Valspar's color strategist to create this award-winning color system. Extensive market research was utilized in developing this systems that is offered to their Consumer Brand accounts. It is an individual color chip layout with a core section of colors that also includes popular brights and whites. Curated smaller palettes were created to accompany it for the color-fearful consumer.

Developed a single color chip palette of 1056 colors that was customized for eight and four foot displays, installed in independent dealer channel and small hardware stores. Palette and merchandising features were developed to target both consumers, designers and paint professionals. Innovations included a punch-out color chip for ease of selection in color combinations.

Colorfuel conducted consumer trend research with tile manufacturers and designers to determine the best palette offering for their grout lines. Slow moving colors were removed and additional colors were added for a total of 40 core colors that could be carried throughout their product lines. A selection of colors was also added to their Designer series of special effects grout. Ply Gem introduced a new synthetic tile roofing material in 2013. Colorfuel worked with the lab to develop a series of color options. There were four collections of colors that were produced and layout schematics were created to showcase the colors in a natural appearance for a variety of roofing conditions.
